India won the 3 matches ODI Series by 2-1 Against South Africa

India claimed the three-match ODI series against South Africa by 2-1 with a dominant nine-wicket victory in the decider at Visakhapatnam on December 6, 2025.

The opening game in Ranchi saw India post 349/8, powered by Virat Kohli’s 52nd ODI century (135) and Rohit Sharma’s 77. South Africa came close at 332 but fell 17 runs short, giving India a 1-0 lead.

In the second ODI at Raipur, India racked up 358/5 with centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad (105) and Kohli (102), plus a rapid 66* from KL Rahul. However, Aiden Markram’s 110 guided South Africa to a thrilling four-wicket win with four balls remaining, leveling the series 1-1.

The series finale belonged to India. KL Rahul ended a 20-match toss-losing streak and elected to bowl. South Africa were restricted to 270, In response, Yashasvi Jaiswal marked his classy maiden ODI hundred (112*), while Rohit Sharma contributed 75. Virat Kohli finished unbeaten on 65 as India chased the target in the 40th over.
